Cuiuni River - November 2006
Casting a Rip Roller (propeller), the most efficient one for peacock bass in the region, I caught this lunker one, 9,5 kilos. The monster stroke near a "molongó" (a famous soft wood tree from the Amazonia), but my friend and I had to persist on casting about 10 times in a sequence. The fight lasted for 20 minutes and we had to desentagle the fish from off the underwater "paulera". Equipment: Berkley 25 lb and 6', Reel Shimano Calais and line Spider 60 lb.
